If you’re unsure of what sliders are, they’re basically an open-toed and backless item of footwear with a strap, usually made of foam or rubber. Flip flops are similar but slightly different, in that they have a y-shaped strap that binds the foot to the footwear by the toes, rather than a full strap across the foot. In practice, sliders and flip flops are often used interchangeably as terms.
