adidas TEAM FX allows you track 5 metrics for all players in your TEAM. Make players performance comparable to previous events and among other TEAM members of your football TEAM in digital leaderboards. You can receive feedback from your players and interact with them to enhance the training experience.
All you need is the TEAM FX product, a compatible mobile device and the adidas TEAM FX  app that you can download via Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
The enabler of the TEAM FX is the Jacquard Tag (sensor), which is kitted out with a gyroscope, an accelerometer, and a small processor capable of running on-device machine learning that can differentiate Football-specific movements. It's able to measure the number of kicks, shot speed, run speed, total distance run and explosiveness
You require a mobile phone which supports the adidas TEAM FX app. The adidas TEAM FX app is supported by Apple devices with iOS 12.1 and later. For Android phones the app is supported by Marshmallow 6.0 (API LVL 23) and later.

What Apps do I need?

You will need the latest version of the adidas GMR app installed on your phone.
The adidas GMR app is used to setup and manage the Jacquard Tag. It also syncs all the data from the Jacquard Tag. You’ll be given a step-by-step tutorial on how to correctly pair your Jacquard Tag, insert it into the GMR insoles. The dashboard displays all relevant information about your Jacquard Tag: Battery status, connection status, name of your Jacquard Tag and a backup button to manually trigger data synchronisation with your Jacquard Tag, if required.
The GMR app is supported by Apple devices with iOS 12.1 and later. For Android phones the app is supported by Marshmallow 6.0 (API LVL 23) and later.

Jacquard Tag

The Jacquard Tag, developed by Google, is an advanced piece of hardware that houses tiny sensors and data from these sensors are read by Jacquard’s advanced machine learning algorithms to identify your football moves and transfer them wirelessly to the GMR mobile app.
Follow the instructions on the GMR app. Insert the Jacquard Tag button first with the adidas logo visible and the LED should be seen through the round hole in the cavity cover.
The pink symmetry tag can be placed in the cavity of your non-dominant foot in any direction.

Insert the micro-USB charger cable in the Jacquard Tag.
Pressing and holding the button for 10 seconds with the micro-USB charger plugged in will reset the Jacquard Tag to factory defaults.
A factory reset will delete the loadable module that was downloaded in the tag. For a factory reset, pressing and holding the button for 10 seconds until you see the LED blinks amber. A reboot does not delete any data but simply resets the Jacquard Tag's CPU and reboots the firmware.
See the answer for “What is factory reset and how is different from a reboot?”. The Jacquard Tag no longer has Bluetooth pairing records for a previously paired phone. Please “forget” or “unpair” the Tag from the phone and re-initiate the pairing process.
The Jacquard Tag is in shutdown mode. Please plug in the micro-USB charger or press and hold the button for 3 seconds.
Your Jacquard Tag is resistant to rain and splashing and can be used outdoors, but it is not fully waterproof. Do not submerge the Jacquard Tag and do not use the Jacquard Tag inside a very wet shoe. If your Jacquard Tag gets wet, allow it to dry and resume using. Do not wash the Jacquard Tag as doing so may damage the Tag. The Jacquard Tag has a water protection rating of IP54 under IEC 60529. If your Jacquard Tag is damaged, water resistance may be compromised.

Charging and Battery

The Jacquard Tag can be charged with a micro-USB cable which is included in the pack.
If any content is missing/damaged in the package including user manual, micro-USB charging cable or Jacquard Tag please follow the return process.
If the Jacquard Tag is not charging please check that the micro-USB is properly inserted, and that the outlet is functional. If after troubleshooting the Jacquard Tag is still not working please follow the return process.
This depends on how much the Jaquard Tag is being used. Please keep an eye on the LED as this will give you an indication when to charge again.
It will take between 60 and 90 minutes to fully charge your Jacquard tag. Charging from your computer may take longer than charging from a USB adapter plugged into a wall socket.

Putting on, Care and Sizes

Handle your Jacquard Tag with care. You may damage the Jacquard Tag or the battery if you puncture, burn, deform, crush, drop, modify, attempt to insert foreign objects into or disassemble them. Using a damaged Jacquard Tag may cause battery overheating or injury. - Environment: The Jacquard Tag is designed to work best in ambient temperatures between 32° and 95° F (0° to 35° C), and should be stored between ambient temperatures of -4° and 113° F (-20° and 45° C). Do not expose the Jacquard Tag to temperatures above 113° F (45° C), such as on prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, on a car dashboard or near a heating vent as this may damage the product, overheat the battery, or pose a risk of fire. Do not leave your Jacquard Tag in the car interior or trunk during hot days for an extended period of time. If the Jacquard Tag becomes too hot, disconnect it from its power source if it is plugged in, move it to a cooler place and do not use it until it has cooled. - Charging: Only charge the Jacquard Tag with a USB port compliant with USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 Type A standards, or a USB power adapter that has been certified with a limited power source or PS1 output per IEC 60950-1/IEC 62368-1, with output rated 5Vdc, 1A. - Cleaning: To clean your Jacquard Tag wipe it with a soft dry or damp cloth. Do not use soaps, solvents or abrasives on the tag. - Water Resistance: The Jacquard Tag is resistant to rain and splashing and can be used outdoors, but it is not fully waterproof. Do not submerge the Jacquard Tag and do not use the Jacquard Tag inside a very wet shoe. If the Jacquard Tag gets wet, do not attempt to dry it using an external heat source. GMR Insoles Your GMR insole consists of a high-performance EVA compound. Nevertheless, treat it with care and make sure you air dry it once it has got wet. Always handle the shoes with care when the device is integrated. (i.e. do not hit the shoe against walls or sharp edges.) Remove the Jacquard Tag before washing and cleaning the insole or the shoes. Do’s - Wash in cold water and air dry. Dont’s: - Do not expose the insole to direct sunlight or a near heat source like an oven or a radiator after washing. - Do not use solvent-based care products such as leather creams as they will damage the surface.
The adidas GMR insole is available in sizes from UK 3.5 to UK 13.
No, in order to be able to measure your activity correctly and to prevent damage of the product or your shoes, please ensure that you are using the Jacquard Tag into a GMR insole that fits your boot properly.
The adidas GMR insole is developed to fit in all kinds of football boots (Soft Ground, Firm Ground, Hard Ground, Artificial Turf, Multi Ground, Turf and Indoor) including boots and shoes not made by adidas. Nevertheless, make sure that the GMR insole fits in the shoe properly otherwise your product could be damaged.

Pairing Process

First time pairing: Download and open the GMR app and follow the onboarding steps.
1. In order to pair the Jacquard Tag with your phone, please make sure that you have the Jacquard Tag charged at least 20%.
1.1 Solid white light = 96 - 100%
1.2 Breathing white light = 21 - 96%
1.3 Breathing amber light = 0 - 20%
2. Then press and hold the button on the Jaquard Tag for three seconds so the tag goes into the pairing mode.
2.1 Blinking white light
3. After a few seconds the Jacquard Tag's serial number will show up in the GMR app - please select it and install the latest firmware.
4. Now your Jacquard Tag is connected with the phone.
To ensure the button is successfully pressed, try pressing it with a small pointed object, like a paper clip. If the button still does not work please follow the return process.
If the Tag is charged and the LED does not pulse white when the button is being pressed and held, then it is already connected to a nearby mobile device.
Please ensure that the Jacquard Tag is charged. If you're unsure, charge the Tag for at least 30 minutes. Press and hold the button on the Tag until the light starts to flash. Then, check that your mobile device's Bluetooth is switched on. If you still can't see the Jaquard tag in your mobile device's list of available Bluetooth devices, then restart your mobile device, and reboot the Tag by holding down the button on the Tag for 8 seconds
The GMR app, on a compatible mobile device, can only be paired with one Jacquard Tag at any given time.
If the Jacquard Tag has been previously paired with another phone, it always performs whitelist advertising. In this mode, a Jacquard Tag is “visible” to other phones but cannot be paired with other phones. For example, if the Jacquard Tag has been paired with Phone A, then Phone B, C, D, etc. can “see” the Jacquard Tag but they cannot pair with it. Only Phone A can connect to the Jacquard Tag.
Please perform a factory reset on the Jacquard Tag to delete the pairing record for the phone.
Pairing establishes credentials on the Jacquard Tag and the phone for mutual authentication. Pairing DOES NOT imply a Bluetooth connection. Pairing is similar to storing the Wi-Fi password for a Wi-Fi access point on a Windows or Macintosh computer. Just like the Windows or Macintosh computer must connect to an access point, Jacquard Tag must also connect to the phone for the GMR app to talk to the Jacquard Tag.
Please unpair the Jacquard Tag from all other phones or turn off Bluetooth on the other phones. If a Jacquard Tag is paired with multiple devices and they are within Bluetooth range of the Tag, it then becomes a race where the first phone to connect to the Tag will prevent all other phones from connecting with that Tag. The Tag can only connect to ONE phone at a time.
Yes, the Jacquard Tag can remember up to six Jacquard compatible mobile devices at one time. However it can only be actively connected to one device at a time.

Dominant Foot

The Jacquard Tag understand your performance best when the GMR insole is placed in the shoe of your stronger (or dominant) foot. Kicks and shot power with your weaker foot won't be measured.

Insert/Remove Insoles

Make sure that you remove your current/old insoles before you insert the GMR insoles.
If you require orthotic insoles for your shoes, you should consult your orthopedic medical professional before using the GMR insoles
Make sure you test if the insoles fit in your boots before you take any further steps. If they do not fit then follow the return/exchange process in order to get the right size for your boots. Make sure that the seal of the Jacquard Tag is not broken when returning the product.
You can use the GMR insoles in any shoe as long as the adidas GMR insoles fit inside.

Firmware update failed

Firmware is the software on the Jacquard Tag which detects the user's football activity and controls the tag hardware. Firmware can be updated over-the-air using your GMR Mobile App.
The firmware on the tag should not require frequent updates - the firmware will be updated whenever there are improvements and fixes. Some of these are mandatory fixes that have to be applied before you can continue to use the product, while others are optional updates that should be applied at the earliest convenience.
The first time you use the app, we'll ask for your consent to download and install a firmware update. You can change in your settings if you want firmware updates to be downloaded and installed automatically.

LED Patterns

When plugged into a micro-USB, a solid white light indicates the Jacquard Tag is fully charged; a breathing white light means the Jacquard Tag is charging; a breathing amber light means the Jacquard Tag has 20% or less charge and should continue to be charged. A blinking amber, while not plugged into a micro-USB, indicates an error, lost connectivity or a completed factory reset.

Deleting Account / Data

Please go to Settings > Manage Accounts and press the button RETRIEVE DATA. adidas will send you all stored data of your profile within 2 weeks.
Please go to Settings > Manage Accounts. You have the option to delete your adidas account and GMR related data by pressing on DELETE ALL ACCOUNTS. If you want to keep your adidas account and delete only GMR related data please press DELETE GMR ACCOUNT.

Returns

Refunds or exchanges will not be issued if the GMR Jacquard Tag seal has been broken, except if the GMR Jacquard Tag is defective. For further conditions on returning products please visit the Returns and Refunds section on the adidas support page.

General Information

The functionality of the GMR app will not be changing. Players will still be able to use the tracking and monitoring football performance capabilities alongside other GMR users but it will be disconnecting from EA SPORTS FIFA Mobile on the 30th September. We’ll also keep adding new and exciting features to the app as well including new visuals that will let you analyse your stats in more depth.
GMR will continue to be supported in EA SPORTS FIFA Mobile until the 30th September. No changes will be made to your current GMR progress during the course of this season on FIFA Mobile.
Yes, you will be able to use the football performance tracking & reading capabilities in the adidas GMR app after 30th September. We’re continuing to roll out new features on the app where you can already track your sprints, kicks and shot power, as well as compare yourself to other GMR users. We’ve been working on new improvements that are coming soon and will let you analyse your stats in more depth as well as giving you a graphic visual representation of your performance.

We’re continuing to roll out new features on the app which already has innovative features which let you track your sprints, kicks and shot power, as well as compare yourself to other GMR users in a way that’s never been done before. We’re excited to share the new features we’ve been working on that will let you analyse your stats in more depth and give you a graphic visual representation of your performance.
Sustainability is really important to everyone at adidas with an ambitious plan to ensure that nine out of 10 articles can be sustainably produced by 2025. Whilst the GMR insole isn’t recyclable, we strive to meet our goal and ensure 90% of our products can be recycled.
It is really important to stress that adidas does not share data with third parties. We only use data to continually improve the technology and to enhance the overall consumer experience. The personal data that is collected through GMR is held by adidas while the GMR app is live and will then be deleted.
